Cooking For Kids Example:
Before my first interview with the team, I previewed the Cooking For Kids website, which has many informative learning videos. I took one of the many videos and used the data to create a learning activity sample. After drafting the first draft, I learned much more about my audience. In the interview, it was explained to me that my audience would be mostly older women with little technical experience. That information made me realize I had to change my approach entirely. I went from a design that relied more heavily on an LMS and technology navigation to one that is easy for anyone to navigate with closed captioning and text-to-speech automatic on all slides. Currently, the Notepad and question mark buttons are not in use, as this is a sample. When the course is completed, the learner will have these resources throughout the course to reference. Given more time and resources, the course could also include an authentic voice and chef instead of animated and AI.
